Setting availability status (in stock, low stock, out of stock, special order)

Overview

Set the availability status for products to reflect inventory and sales policies. This is especially important for special order or non-stock items.

Before you begin

You must have Catalog Management permissions in Dealer Admin.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Go to Catalog Manager.

  2. Select a product or variant.

  3. Use the availability dropdown to choose:

    • In Stock

    • Low Stock

    • Out of Stock

    • Special Order

  4. Save your changes.

What customers see

  • "Special Order" products display a special label and icon.

  • These products can't be added to cart, but can be added to a quote.

Bulk upload setup instructions

Use the column Availability or Variant Availability for products variants.

  • Accepted values: In Stock, Low Stock, Out of Stock , Special Order

Why can't a customer order a product?
