Managing product fields
Overview
Product fields help you capture and display important product information like size, material, origin, and compliance details. This article explains how to view, create, and manage both standard and custom product fields in your catalog.
Before you begin
You’ll need Catalog Management permissions in Dealer Admin to access and manage product fields.
Step-by-step instructions
To create a new custom product field:

Go to Products > Fields in Dealer Admin.

Click Add a custom field.

Enter the following:

Label (required): Name of the field.

Data type: Choose Text, Number, or Boolean.

Description (optional): Short explanation to help users understand the field’s purpose.

Click Save to create the field.
To edit or delete an existing custom field:

Click the field label to open the detail view.

Make updates to the label, type, or description.

To delete the field, click Delete custom field at the bottom of the panel.
What customers see
Fields only appear on the storefront when they are included in a layout and the product has a value assigned. Empty or unused fields are hidden.

Why can't I edit a standard field?
Standard fields are system-defined and not editable.
Why is my custom field not showing on the product detail page?
Make sure the field has been added to a layout and the product has a value set.
