Google Local Listings – Setup Requirements

Google Local Listings allow your products to appear in Google Search and Maps when customers search nearby. To enable Local Listings, Google requires the following setup to be completed.

Requirements

To be eligible for Google Local Listings, you must have:

  • An active Google Business Profile for each store location
  • A verified physical store location
  • Accurate store address and hours
  • A product catalog with identifiable product names or UPCs
  • Shipping and returns policies published on your website
  • Consistent information across Google and your website

Incomplete or unverified accounts may prevent products from appearing in local search results.

How Local Listings Are Enabled

Local Listings are powered through:

  • Google Business Profile (store location and hours)
  • Google Merchant Center (product and availability data)
  • Your website policy verification, product catalog, and availability.

All three must align for listings to display correctly.
